First of all, I’m glad your cousin is doing better and my thoughts are with your family. But I do want to say that your aunt and uncle did not leave the illness up fate. While there certainly are random and terrible things that we experience it is how we respond that denotes who we are and whether we believe in “fate.” Your family identified the problem, sought treatment, and gave your cousin the love and support he needed. This is a far cry from saying “he got cancer, it’s fate. If he’s meant to be healed, that too will be fate”
ADMIN LAW FINAL TODAY AND THEN ONLY ONE FINAL LEFT OF 2L YEAR. YOU CAN BET THAT MY ANSWERS WILL NOT BE ARBITRARY AND CAPRICIOUS. IM GOING TO CRUSH THIS COFFEE THEN IM GOING TO CRUSH THIS EXAM THEN MORE COFFEE THEN LIFE! LETS GOOOOOOO
This is speculation on my part but I’m pretty sure the author, Taylor, is in law school which would mean she is in the middle of exams. As someone currently going though 2L exams, I can attest to the fact that you only have time to study and sometime cry a little (a lot).
That happened to me one. Except I’m a guy and the girl called me her boyfriend in front of her family. I felt so uncomfortable that I just played along with it and then we “broke up” a week later.
You shouldn’t see a rate increase for using UI/UIM coverage. If you do, call and complain to your carrier, threaten to leave (after it’s paid out), etc. and it shouldn’t be changed. Just remind the carrier thar subro is their responsibility if they try to use that as an excuse.
Really shocked that deFies went to Miami (OH). I recently moved to southern Ohio and I haven’t met a single Miami grad who didn’t tell me within the first five fucking minutes of meeting them that they went to Miami. Good for you for not sucking, Will.
Sorry, but no way. As much as being an associate sucks, you’re at least getting paid. I can understand missing law school, I cannot understand missing exams.
Best advice I can give you is to write out as many hypos as you can. You’ll get faster at answering questions and become more comfortable with the material. Also if you’re looking for practice exams go to Pepperdine University Law Library website. They have literally the best collection of old 1L exams. Good luck and always remember: the curve is ruthless
Good article but I’ve got to ask, why take a train to a bagel shop to get two toasted bagel’s with cream cheese? I’m all about being lazy and never cooking for myself but damn, you literally need a toaster, bagels, and cream cheese to make that at home.

Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes that reason is you acted like a dumbass.

As a guy who works in a defense litigation firm, “contracts are like hearts, they’re made to be broken” is officially my new favorite quote.
Speaking for guys everywhere, if you say “want to come back and pet my dog?” And you don’t actually have a dog, you’ll be forgiven.

I’ve been having the same problem. Especially in the comment section.
Was the title for this article changed? The first paragraph just doesn’t seem to fit.
Pulling for Liz, the girl who picks her nose and thinks that grapes are a vegetable. They need to keep her around for a while.

I definitely stole Duda’s “great hair, decent ass” and I’d say 70% of the messages I get are in reference to that.
Nice job pointing out how much you love your job after last week.
She doesn’t have to be drunk enough to believe it. She just has to be drunk enough to want to believe it.
