I’m glad people try to get fit for the new year but I’m not looking forward to my already crowded gym being over crowded with resolutioners who are only going to atick with it for a week.
Love that last paragraph. If you hate your job so much that you want to disrespect it, let them know what you really think and quit on the spot. That takes some balls! Ghosting is just cowardly.
I keep on thinking when I hear about people ghosting their jobs of what they would do if they didn’t get paid properly like getting compensated for PTO. Now, you’re going to have to talk to a company you just ghosted to get that money.
Not all speakeasy’s have this vibe. Have you been to Halligan in Chicago? Of course, you have and that was a speakeasy owned by a mobster in the prohibition era. Now it’s got a bunch of windows and reasonably priced drinks.
Great take! I loved Budweiser since college because it was the best possible beer you could find at a college party where Hamms & Busch light were the norm and I kept loving Budweiser ever since!
We had a roommate who used to use the Brita without refilling it. Everytime we saw an empty Brita, we would snapchat it to him with a snarky caption because you deserve to be called out for such behavior.
I’m one of the few young guys who actually likes decorating and buying nice, matching furniture & art for my home. Moving in with a girlfriend & having her try to change everything would definitely be a challenge. That being said, it’s inevitable that it’s going to happen.
Guy who knows his coworkers girlfriend is cheating on him, tell your coworker about it but don’t push the issue, if he doesn’t believe you. If you tell him, that’s as far as you should go in that situation. I’d probably avoid telling him who your other friend is for his safety. You should also tell the other friend that she has a boyfriend, just in case he doesn’t know.
That’s how I got my current job. My company eventually realized they needed more reps and hired 15 of us. I believe I sumbitted my resume 2 months before.
Well, lots of people expect their parents to hate you (I know people who’s parents hate everybody they date) but their friends usually have a realistic idea of who they are. Their friends are also a part of their day to day life where most adults aren’t with their parents all the time, so it might be more important that their friends like you.
If you have an attractive girl, she’s going to get hit on and there’s not really much you can do about it, because you’re not always going to be there. However, If you guys are dating and she brags about how much she gets hit on to you, that’s a huge red flag. Besides the fact, that it’s obvious that she’s doing it to make you jealous and make herself seem more desirable.
GTFO with not mixing whiskey when you’re over 25. The Manhattan and the Old Fashioned are classic drinks that are acceptable at any age. I certainly didn’t start considering Jack & Coke beneath me either, once I turned 25.
Met this girl on a flight and we clicked instantly. I saw her at the beginning of the flight and thought she was an alright looking girl. Then, we started talking and clicked instantly. The deeper our connection grew, the prettier she looked but I knew she had a boyfriend so I didn’t pursue anything but you could tell that it just didn’t feel right for either of us when we walked off the plane, just said bye and parted ways to never see each other again.
My birthday’s in January so I hate that it’s the same time that people try to cut out alcohol.

Realizing that I transitioned from the party boy to the responsible friend was an eye opener for how washed up I’ve become.

They didn’t tell me anything for 2 months. Than they called me out of the blue and set up the interview process.

I once found out I didn’t get a job because my friend posted on facebook that he got that job.

I thought the move was waiting until Thanksgiving is over………..
I’m glad you stuck to your guns when it came to that girl spilling your drink on herself. I hope your boss doesn’t read your columns though……..

Good take. I love naps but you got to be strategic about them. Don’t want to derail your night’s sleep.
