Dave – I’ve enjoyed all of the Grandex media since the TFM/TSM days. The PGP platform has been great for me to still feel connected to the outside world/others that share similar situations in life while working in a rural area relatively independently. I’m sure that there are others in similar places as myself; that being said, I know I would appreciate more content focused on topics outside of traditionally metropolitan areas. Keep doing your thing – this site has provided me with many needed breaks from talking about tariff disputes and the suffering grain market.
This is trash. Who cares if it was your girlfriend’s male friend (100% platonic as you felt the need to make clear). The point remains that it’s pretty standard procedure to be hospitable towards a guest, especially a guest of your significant other.
En route to Saskatoon for the men’s curling championship. Decided to spring for an airport lounge day pass due to a 5 hour layover in Winnipeg. Complete game changer. I am currently living my best life.
Giving a presentation on farm safety all day. Didn’t truly realize how many Hispanic participants would be attending until I arrived. I cannot speak Spanish and my translator just told me she’s not entirely sure how to convey the message of PTO safety. Still, should be a fun filled day.
The Commissioner is stoping by the office today to lead a town hall style function on poultry production in the area. Makes a good look for me in my first month of work, with little effort on my part.
Just got offered a spot as a speaker at a conference later this month. My topic – farm worker safety as directly related to tobacco harvest. Ready to crush this.
New job has relocated me to a very small town (population under 10K). Just got a call from the local newspaper asking to schedule an interview. Not going to lie, I do feel extremely flattered despite the fact I could be replaced with an article about farm animals on the loose at any given moment.
Today is my community welcome reception at the new job. Basically, every older member of the area is allowed to come question me about my background under the guise of free appetizers. Should be fun.
Delph’s last article about the salt life stickers had me rolling.

I still don’t completley agree with your take, but I do appreciate that you explained your logic behind it.

Salt life is the dream, corn/soybean life is the reality.
Came here to suggest Tyler Childers as well. I’d also recommend Nicholas Jamerson, Grayson Jenkins, Colter Wall and Corb Lund.

Stay blessed y’all.
Combo of Halloween weekend plus homecoming will undoubtedly result in 72 hours of a beautiful disaster.
Additionally, fall brings us one step closer to winter when all insects die and go to their respective corners of hell.

Barring any apocalyptic circumstances, not particularly. Will advise if necessary.
Southern rust in corn has arrived. Mentally preparing for the onslaught of calls I’m about to receive.
Walked in and the secretary handed me freshly made sausage balls. Thank God for small towns in the South.

One of the local homemakers just brought me fresh baked bread. Honestly not sure if anything else this weekend can top that.
Can confirm. I live in the area of Kentucky where the viewing will be the best. Local school districts have already cancelled classes for the day.

Nothing can crush your faith in constituents like a phone bank. Best of luck.
