Unfortunately right now is camp season for college football teams and we have a high school camp both Saturday and Sunday. So I will be working all weekend. Last weekend of camps though and the coaches are off on vacation afterwards. Looking forward to a few weeks of quiet around the facility.
Future wife has been out of town since Wednesday to go see her family in S. Georgia and her Bachelorette Party in Destin. Plan on cooking some Carne Asada tonight and try to finish The Wire. Tomorrow pack for my NOLA work trip next week. Then derby day/Cinco de Mayo party while throwing back some Victoria’s. I’m sure some vodka-Topo Chico’s will find their way into the mix.
When it comes to country music Grammy’s and ACM’s mean zero. A lot of people who frequent here would agree in that the best are shunned by those awards, especially the ACM’s.
Just got engaged after then GF (now fiance) moved to Texas with me from South Georgia. Being where shes from and me being from Kansas we chose to have the wedding in Texas. I know making everyone travel is not desirable but makes planning so much easier.
I agree with what you’re saying. I think the outlaw tag gets thrown around because its the closest thing that we have to the actual outlaw movement of Waylon, Willie, Kristofferson, etc
I love Sturgill and am glad that he is getting all of his well deserved recognition. What I do hope though is that people who discover his music don’t just stop with him. I hope people dive deeper and find other incredible musicians who are out their grinding as well.
Grits: the most versatile food there is. Grits for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner. Grits as a side. Grits as part of the main course. They can do it all.
I can’t say that I would really put boland and sturgill in the same grouping. Yes at first you can here similarities but outside of that there’s not much.

You and I, my friend, think alike.
Summer is meant for Busch Light, and if I’m feeling the need to class it up a bit Shiner Light Blonde or Shiner Ruby Red.
Big fan of Deep Eddy’s and grapefruit Topo Chico

Her Strut – Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band
August through the bowl game…expect no days off.
I work in an operation role for a college football team. I look forward to just getting Sundays off let alone a whole weekend.
Agreed Woodrow.
You’re obviously not a true degenerate.
An advantage of working in college athletics is wearing golf shorts is about as dressed up as I get outside of recruiting events and game day.

Its tough to just pick one but i would have to go with Ryan Bingham – Guess Who’s Knocking.
Nothing screams I’ve never worn boots before like square-toe.
