Throw up your money Manziel signs because Johnny is on the comeback. After an eventful 2016 that included a restraining order, club hopping, and zero football, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner might be making some New Year’s resolutions that lead to bigger and better things.
That’s some self-awareness that has eluded Johnny like he eluded helpless SEC defenders for his two seasons at A&M. Early last year I wrote that Johnny simply had a classic case of Post Grad Problems but I may have confused “Post Grad Problems” with “severe substance dependency.”
Johnny isn’t exaggerating; the constant fuckery he participated in throughout 2016 was nothing short of a disaster. But it takes a big man to admit his mistakes, especially when the whole world is watching. There’s no QB more fun to watch than Johnny Football when the pocket breaks down and he’s scrambling, so I think we all need this comeback to happen.
Obviously, a set of tweets isn’t solving the problem. Johnny still has a four game suspension hanging over his head, as well as the task at hand to simply get what has recently looked like a severely malnourished body back into NFL-shape.
Despite multiple “I’m going to make a comeback” shoutouts on TMZ last year as he would get into a car leaving a club, this one just feels a little different, and even Johnny knows he’s gotta walk the walk.
Best of luck to Johnny Football, we’re all rooting for him. Also, looks like he’s listening to “Bad and Boujee” a lot, so that’s another positive sign..

Rooting from him as well…outside of the domestic abuse issues, I think all of us would have engaged in some of the same behavior at age 23 and if we had a seven figure bank account…honestly, if the Seahawks aren’t happy with their backup QB situation, they should take a look at him. Manziel’s ceiling is probably Russell Wilson, their games are pretty similar and it wouldn’t be the worst thing the world to have a Carlton Banks-esque mentor in Wilson by Manziel’s side.
