That’s how taxes work.
I thought bonuses would be treated like a tip paid in cash đ Oh well. I learned something new and added the extra funds to my IRA like a responsible adult.

I once had a $25 year end âbonusâ that had taxes taken out. Wouldâve rather not gotten anything.
I once had a “bonus” for doing a large data merge for a client. Turns out, that “bonus” had actually come out of the following paycheck… I paid myself for the bonus… what a joke.
