I totally agree, but still a hell of a lot cheaper and more fulfilling I think. You can get around the permit by going out to cut the tree on Thanksgiving though

That’s exactly how I feel about it too. The rewards points are why I’m normally first to put my card down but I’ve had to stop. I’m always first to venmo someone back though because I know how mad it makes me.
I hate it when a place won’t split the bill or the waitress seems visibly upset over splitting it more than 2 ways. I’ve done the venmo requests too but sometimes it takes a month to actually get the money back. Really frustrating
I prefer driving if I’m in a car with other people on a longer trip. Other than that not a fan anymore. I had an 8 hour drive from school to home that I did for my first few years that was oddly relaxing, but then I started flying and getting drunk on planes and it changed my whole perspective.
Haven’t been there in a long time, so I can’t speak for the quality of it now. Honestly haven’t had bad sushi in Reno save for one time at a somewhat newer place named Hiroba. My favorite was always the sushi bar on the skyway of the Atlantis. More expensive but definitely worth it.
The only thing good about growing up in Reno was every sushi bar was all you can eat (and pretty decent quality) and it’s proximity to Lake Tahoe. Other than that there isn’t much to write home about.

$10 for a tree permit to go out and cut my own tree. Benefits of living close to heavily wooded areas.
