I was at my (at the time) girlfriend’s law school barrister’s ball, sipping bourbon and a guy noticed my bow tie, asked me at the hotel bar if I could tie it for him. I had never tied one on someone else before, but I succeeded. He thanked me with a drink for my girlfriend and myself. I, of course, gave him the pointer of after dinner, yank one side loose and let it hang.
I love a good IPA, but I’m not having trouble finding other types of craft beers. Yeah, the hoppy beers are the craft brewer’s bread & butter, but I’m finding more and more porters and stouts (extra points if it’s on nitro) out there.
