You don’t take the collar stays out of your shirts before you send them to the cleaners? I thought this was common practice… they tumble dry them so of course they’re likely to fall out.
State of Grace in River Oaks has an awesome oyster happy hour if you’re specifically looking for those. $1 a pop for incredible quality (including the single best variety IMO, Murder Point from the Gulf)
What do you have against Houston? I just moved here about 6 months ago, more or less on a whim having been here for all of 48 hours previously, and I love it. It’s large enough to have a big young professional population, plenty of transplants so easy-ish to meet new people, great food scene, etc etc etc
Hosting a drunk brunch to watch round 3 of the WM Open tomorrow. If we can’t make it to the loudest hole in golf in person, we’ll do our damn best to recreate it at home. Expecting poor decisions and pissed off neighbors all around, should be fun.
ACL bachelor party guy: Zilker Park is far enough away from the primary bar districts (6th E and W, Rainey, etc.) that you’re unlikely to see too much of an impact from the festival crowd there. Also, take it from me – as appealing as the literal full bottles of wine they sell at the festival may seem, nothing is worse than a wine hangover after a full day in the sun.
Girlfriend and I just moved to Houston and had our first El Tiempo experience last weekend. Needless to say our best friend in HTX at this point is the waiter who kept the margs and fajitas flowing. We’d love to meet up with any of the H-Town PGPers!
Why all the downvotes on this? Blue cheese is the only option for wings
I’d like to think his use of ‘smelling’ wasn’t accidental

What’s up with the thumbs up icon next to comments? It got way to big and also doesn’t face downward anymore for negative-like comments…
I’ve used this play a few times as well, it has a very high success rate.
Shithouse*
All this, plus a generous drizzle of the melted butter because I’m an animal

Oh yeah they do. Silver bullet and tiger paw FTW
I recently moved to Houston and would absolutely be down to meet up with some of the H-Town PGPers!
^Well played.
Bar Keepers Friend is the best for scrubbing anything out of stainless.
