You inspired me to finally make an account after lurking here for over four years. My wife and I moved for my work to a small, mostly military town, and since neither of us are in the military it’s been hard making friends. Most of the people we meet are military wives with multiple kids and husbands deployed overseas, which doesn’t quite line up with a childless late-20’s couple. Work isn’t an option for making friends, since she works remotely and I actually am the boss, so there’s a necessary disconnect from everyone that I work with. So keep this series going, because I’d love to find out how the hell you find some new friends.
Side note, if any of you are in the Pinehurst NC area and want to get drinks or play some golf, first round is on me. My wife is much cooler than I am, and we have a dog that you’ll get to play with, if he doesn’t lick you to death first.
Does your brother work in finance and got engaged in Paris? Because I think I recently heard something about that…
Are you living on base? Even being right next to Bragg I have no idea how much free time yall have, but if you wanna grab a beer let’s do it.
