Not to spark a tipping debate, but if a waiter was sassy and judging me for ordering a drink at a questionable time of day the tip may not be very high.
While it’s a pain in the ass sometimes to fly with a kid, it’s nice to have family boarding to fall back on so you don’t have to worry about getting to the line.
I mean there are some places where you could be out of place in a suit, but you will never not look good if you’re wearing a suit. If anything, it’s a story. And stories are great to have when trying to strike up a conversation with the ladies.
I don’t know where some of yall are getting married, but we had dinner, open bar, ice luge with liquor shots, parting gifts of two airplane bottles each person, and I think it was like $25 a person. And I was drinking the excess alcohol left over for about 6 months after the wedding. Need some more DCO mentality on the negotiations to get those prices lower.
I always had good luck with a wine bar. Appetizers if you started feeling hungry, and a great way to feel out the date and go grab dinner if it is going well.
I haven’t been in the same position for more than three years since out of school and am currently VP level and 31. You move up by moving out. If you move for a better opportunity it isn’t the same as just basic job hopping.
I get the concept of “destination” weddings being cumbersome for travel, but for my wedding, people were coming from Nashville, Atlanta, Louisiana, Illinois, etc. So I don’t get the big difference between traveling to their hometown and some other exotic location. Domestic flights can be just as expensive sometimes.
I spend two weeks at a time in Abu Dhabi once a year and you have two options: Find the underground pub and watch camel races. There are zero other tv options.
Yeah they gave me the side eye when I took one too many napkins when I was in Amsterdam. They treat those and ketchup like gold.

Operation: Payback has initiated on my company and a potential new role will see a lot more networking and dinners/lunches. This is going on the list.

That’s the stench of your trash takes.
The “What I spent this weekend” article for this outing would give me a heart attack.
I was not aware there were as many “guru’s” out there as there apparently are until I started using LinkedIn more.
My company fucked me out of a minimum of $80k in stock options, so these stories don’t sound so bad.

Dominated an interview out of town and currently sipping beers at the airport. Ready for the game!
Girl offspring potentially making an appearance nine months from now…on October 31…damn Will is too good.

Damn I feel bad if I’m there at 7:30. Maybe I need to start looking.

I’ve mentioned this before, it’s not by choice. The IT nerds at my company don’t allow any other external downloads so IE is the only option.
