Couldn’t agree more. I graduated with a PE degree 3.5 years ago from Tech. I’ve heard the program has gotten more difficult, but stick with it. It’s well worth it in the end. I had to leave my native Texas for Denver but it has been a great experience.
Do your thing at the job fair in two weeks. It sucks, I know, but worth selling yourself if it lands you a coveted internship. I was supposed to go recruit there until training got in the way. Let me tell you, your GPA is great and will definitely help. Emphasize ANY experience you have related to the oil and gas industry. Also, please do your research. You have no idea how many times we turn away students because they pronounce company names wrong or have zero idea where we operate. Best of luck.
