Same thing happened to me this past spring. I felt the slow fade coming over the course of a week, and after about 10 days called him out on his bullshit by leaving him a voicemail. Really sucks that he wasn’t more forthcoming because I think we could’ve maintained a friendship after he moved. In my book, ghosting/giving the slow fade is basically the same as being dishonest. Just address the situation and be straight up, so both parties can move on and go their separate ways, or be friends, if there’s a desire for that. It’s sad to lose someone you get along with so well due to their inability to face tough conversations.
This one hit hard in recent light of this morning’s news about Anthony Bourdain’s suicide, just following Kate Spade’s earlier this week and Avicii’s in April. Although suicides occur on a daily basis, I hope the temporal proximity of these public figures’ suicides in relation to one another will reinforce the importance of seeking help — no matter who you are.
Rome is almost offensively touristy, but I have heard it’s better in the fall so I hope you experience better luck. If you ever get tired of the crowds, go for a walk and get lost in Trastevere or just wake up as early as you can and get out and see the city while it’s quiet. Also, eat gelato at every chance presented. Try Gelateria Giolotti. It won’t disappoint.
100% honeymoon – all about spending money on experiences & making memories. House – I mean, would be nice too I guess, but what happens if we get divorced in 10 years? The house is then full of bad memories. A ring is a ring; it’s pretty but it’ll only bring fleeting happiness and you get used to looking at it anyways after a week.
Love the overall message of this article here and appreciate the pics of your own “rooftop view” (honestly, probably has more character than anything swanky you’ll find), but gotta call you out for that Norman Rockwell reference. Trying to find a single Norman Rockwell painting that has anything to do with a guest bedroom, but coming up short…… Most of his paintings are of “everyday” Americans in the 1940s-1960s, but you get points for the effort anyways.

First thing that came to mind was “High Protein Only” but I’m probably just making that up

If you’re getting some good jam (aka in a glass jar), the jam container’s always gonna be way smaller than the PB container
1) basically 0 calories for a crunchy, juicy, delicious snack that makes your breath and hands smell only slightly offensive
2) hangover cure
