I have to disagree with the first sentence, besides an honorable mentioned of Disney’s ‘Hollywood Studios’ (star wars), in what dimension has Universal been playing catchup with Disney? Besides Star Wars, does Disney have any IP or rides that interests someone over the age of 8?
The Uber was 6 minutes away, but he didn’t take it because, “nah, I’m good, I’ve only had 2/hour since getting here [forgetting the shots]”. So, he Wolf-of-Wallstreeted it back, like so many times before, surprisingly successfully.
I’d say #1 and #10 are the biggest here. It’s just not about looking like you work your ass off…it’s actually doing it. Do your standard 40hours, then take on ~20hrs of additional project/continuous improvement/fun work. Trust me, the formula works, plus it keeps you off the layoff shortlist.
Would we be able to do it again with the knowledge we have now? Then Hell yeah – I would ‘crush it’ at college now vs. my idiot 18yr old self; otherwise I have no interest in reliving many of the tough life lessons that inevitably come with growing up (Pro tip: don’t get engaged to your college sweetheart).
I have to question the entire list, you missed the best moment in the history of television comedy, nay, all of mankind. Season 5, Episode 13: The Fire Drill Scene
Something that’s oft overlooked is that in our grandparents’ generation and previous (i.e. twentysomethings pre-1950s) it was common to stay in the family home until marriage. All of my grandparents stayed until their mid-20s, giving ALL of their income to ‘the family’ budget’. Upon getting married, they were given a sizable amount to buy a house, start their own family etc. Our parents’ generation changed that with good jobs, the availability of easy credit, high buying power etc.
Or, just be honest – women like men with strong opinions

How I Met Your Mother? The characters didn’t mature quite so much through the show, but it accurately represents the perils of late 20s and beyond.
I thought this article was pretty accurate…good job

Meh, traveling, especially internationally, is kind of fun. Work is work, but getting out of the office cube city is always nice.
