Dammit you had to remind me that I have to carry a huge suitcase down 3 flights of stairs? Oh well, least I am going home to California for the first time in 6 months!
Truly think everyone should live alone for a little bit if finances allow. Did it for 3 years before moving in with my boyfriend and I think it worked really well for us.
I personally feel like us moving in together is more of a serious commitment than getting married. Then again I did move across the country. I think we both grew in a lot of different ways since moving in and once we get married we will be able to tackle those changes without adding on even more.
Lord now I can’t wait until leftover Christmas roast. Toasted bread with some mayo and a nice quality slice (gma don’t skimp) is the best leftover/hangover breakfast.
Bf never had a junk drawer until I moved in. Now he goes there first when looking for things and is pleasantly surprised that he can almost always find what he wants.
Onto my 3rd month in my new city after a cross country move. Have contended with learning an entirely new state and its laws, unemployment, and the lovely hurricane Florence (who brought us a cockroach infestation). This is also my first time living with an SO. It has been challenging but as others have said it is a growing experience stepping out of your comfort zone!
BF is at the penn state v. Ohio state game so I’ll be sleeping diagonally on the bed and working on writing samples for a staff reporter position I am hoping to get.
Didn’t know how to properly pronounce my bf’s name for the first 2 months of dating. Just ask him. Mine still laughs at me for being so shy to ask. Most likely he has been asked his entire life.
Hoping our local groceries have meat and other fresh goods after Florence. If they finally do then it’s steak night. Tomorrow is all football all day and Sunday is fried chicken wings as a reward for cleaning all day.
Moved in with my bf 2 months ago and I feel like it is the exact opposite for me. Army shit has tripped me more times than I can count, we go on his schedule since I don’t have an established friend group yet, etc. But getting to spend everyday with someone who will kill bugs for me is nice.
Boyfriend spent some time at Benning doing some officer course and ranger school and is now airborne at Bragg. Not sure how it is first hand but does seem like lots of training and depending a high deployment rate. Loves airborne though definitely.
Finally quitting my horrible job was the most freeing feeling ever. Anxiety is at an all time low and I don’t wake up with panic attacks. Lesson learned, don’t stay at a crappy job.
Starting a side job soon since moving drained my account and health insurance is putting me in the hole. Definitely looking for serving jobs though since you can’t beat tips.

Spent the whole weekend having to pretend that we don’t live together to his family. Really hard to do when the wine is flowing.
We got them after Florence. I think they came from the drains or something? Home defense and clove oil over every ounce of the place.

Hockey game tomorrow night, Sunday is decorating and Monday is celebrating my veteran and meal prep. Stay safe everyone!

Watching the bf jump tomorrow if it doesn’t get rained out. Then attempting to roast a whole chicken for meal prep. Wow my weekend sounds lame….
Sushi tonight with the bf. Tomorrow he is starting me on his lifting regime. Prayers for him cause I have never been good at being told what to do.

Cannot wait for North Carolina to realize it is fall and cool down. Don’t even want to imagine what you Texans go through.
Got the BF a customized flask for his ranger graduation. Comes in clutch at many nights out.
