Honestly if he really wants this girl, the best way to get her is to start ignoring her entirely. That means no more snapchatting (she sends you those to see if you’re still on the hook by the way), watching her stories, Initiating texts etc. Just stop texting her completely.
Do this and she may come looking for you, and if she does play it cool ask for a meet up because you’re too busy to talk right then (don’t sit there and text about your day and other boring bs, just be cool and ask her out for drinks). If she doesn’t, well at least you’re not getting jerked around and met someone else.
Also this might get downvoted but here’s a secret not many guys know (or at least they forget and let their emotions take over), if you’re the guy, do not go begging or reaching out to her like in the movies, it doesn’t work (it’ll push her father away). Obviously if you were a dick to her, cheated on her, and the break up was your fault you should apologize (immediately and only once, groveling isn’t attractive), but other than that the best thing you can do in most cases is absolutely nothing. Give her time to think and miss you and if she still has feelings she WILL reach out (it may be days, weeks, even months, but don’t lose your cool and keep texting her). If she never reaches out, well it’s over, she’s moved on and so should you.
So many times guys will torpedo their chances with a girl by over pursuing, being needy or sending drunk texts.
I think you’re missing the point of someone intentionally trying to mislead aka LIE to someone else about their appearance, you know, like a liar would.
If you never heard any word of mouth about a movie before (you can’t remember any hype or friends talking about it or it winning awards or staying in theaters for weeks…) If you can’t remember hearing anything about a movie, then it’s probably a shit movie.
