As we’ve gotten older things have gotten better. We live near each other and see each other frequently as he often comes home, but we rarely talk much. He’s very reserved and used to be a bit of an asshole. Idk if he’s on the spectrum at all or has some other behavioral issue. And to be honest I’m not sure if I want to be closer to him or not.
One of my high school buddies who moved to Cali is back in town so the squad is probably hitting the bars. Sunday will probably be spent watching the Mets lose with my Dad.
I may be in the minority opinion on this, but I think things may be too late to “lock it down”. He should 100% shoot his shot, but don’t enter a relationship with her before she goes abroad. With all these Spanish dudes trying to flirt with her, plus the romantic setting, chances of her having a fling with some dude named Jorge or Juan are very high. He should keep it fun and casual before she goes. Snap back and forth just enough to remind her you exist. Then when she comes back, try to get serious.
I went to a local shelter to help a buddy of mine pick out dogs. You can usually tell which ones have tempermant issues and which ones would be fine companions. If it’s reserved but appreciated pets and treats, and does not act aggressively, it’s a good companion dog. Other ones may be ok but they’ll need extra training to train the aggressiveness/shyness out of them.
To the thicc dude: SHOOT YOUR FUCKING SHOT. I’ve been in too many situations where I probably had a chance with a few girls out of my league and didn’t ask them out because of a lack of confidence. Always regretted it. Don’t be me.
Sores only appear during breakouts, which can be made fewer and farther between with medication. It’s not an ideal situation, but you learn to work around it and mitigate it.

I never had to because my parents hired landscapers. Not at all trying to sound like a spoiled shit but that’s just the way I had it.
