Have to disagree with you here. And I’m pretty damned liberal. I don’t feel like getting that into it because it’s Christmas Eve, so I’ll leave you with this. I talked to many people over the summer who voted for him solely because of the Supreme Court. They hated his guts and agree he’s racist, etc, but still voted for him because of the Supreme Court. Do I think that’s an extremely narrow minded decision making-process? Yes, but people did do it.
Agreed. Spent the entire summer and fall knocking doors talking politics with people and it’s disheartening to see what social media is turning people into when it comes to political disagreements. I’ve had tons of civil, even really insightful discussions with some of the most ardent Trump supporters.
Well done Nick. As someone who works in politics and who’s job it is to often think of the other side as the “enemy”, this was a nice reminder to keep things in perspective.
