Those are all great ideas. Also, to echo Dillion’s response, one good thing you could do is also invite a bunch of people out for something like trying a restaurant or bar none of you have been before, and do it regularly, such as once a month. I’ve done that, and it’s a great way to balance everyone’s schedules, while also making new friends.
Rather ironically, a lot of these “old souls” not only don’t want to go out or have fun, but become a lot more judgmental and police their friends’ actions a lot more. Doesn’t sound very adult to me.
For the second to last guy, hopefully the $150 for the golf trip is the only time he’s borrowed money or hasn’t paid you back. If he makes a habit of it, or if it’s already occurred multiple times, you may need to drop him. Best friends don’t swindle each other.
I would not be surprised if the confidentiality notice at the bottom of the last email was part of the signature, since it’s common for attorneys and other professionals to include that as the signature. If that email is ever found during a lawsuit, I’m sure it will make the reviewer’s day.
I have to wear a suit when I go to court, which isn’t every day, but that’s because the local rules for the courthouse require attorneys to wear suits. As soon as I get back to the office, the jacket goes off.
Today is my Friday, since I’ll be attending a conference the rest of the week. Looking forward to getting out of town a bit, learning something, and sitting poolside whenever I’m able to.
For the last person, the course my friends play at a lot in Chicago is the Sydney R. Marovitz course. There’s also a few good courses out in the Chicago burbs if you’re willing to go out there.
As much as I love craft beers, I usually order Miller Lites or Coors when I’m out. Life’s too short to break the bank buying beer or being snobby on the weekend.

You learn something new every day. Thanks for the great advice!
Those are the best snacks, especially the ones from Trader Joe’s.
“After all this time? Always.” Thanks Jk Rowling for not keeping your dreams alone, and sharing it with the world.
Don’t want to turn it into a competition, but I have a 4.89 right now. I’m curious if anyone has a perfect 5.
The one good thing about the first story is that people were at least nice enough to help get the poor guy home.

Hope it wasn’t a TED talk. Those are the worst.
I can’t imagine how exhausting it must be to be that passive-aggressive all the time. Girl could win a gold medal for it if it was an Olympic sport.
There’s always using a spoon. Wendy’s is way ahead of the game on this front with their Frosties.
The only thing that could make it even worse is if they then say: “must be nice.”

Not really knowing how to use the various Snapchat filters. PGP.
Very true. Probably should have finished that cup of coffee before posting…

She’s too busy to be employed, planning brunch is basically a full-time job after all.
