Staying just a little later changes the commute as well, public transit is significantly less crowded, I’ll stay the extra 45 to look good in front of my boss and to not know the shampoo of the random stranger on the bus.
Exact thing happened to me, bumble date with a girl, electric connection but she mentioned she was moving in three weeks. Didn’t hang out again but texted and snapped a bit but the fact we could never hang again is a bummer. She hasn’t been engaged just yet but odds we ever see each other again are slim.
Depends what you like but for a typical Post Grad I would say go downtown for a day and walk around, Pike Place is a good stroll through (but stroll through, it’s a glorified farmer’s market). Stopping by the Space Needle is fun but a great alternative is the Columbia Tower Sky Deck, tallest building in the city, no lines, 360 degree view of the entire city/Lake Washington/Puget Sound, and waaaaaaay less expensive than the Needle. Bars wise, Cap Hill/Ballard/Fremont are all excellent areas, can’t really go too wrong with a bar in those areas (I’m bias toward Ballard, more chill vibe). Alki is a great place to see the city from a distance that is close (also Spud’s Fish and Chips started in early 1900s and is killer). Finally, find a cool concert or game in town, Seattle fans of any sport/concert are passionate and gives a good vibe of the locals. Also for a nicer, not break the bank dinner, check out Ray’s Boathouse, great brunch/dinner and views of the Olympic Mountains.
Two years ago went to SF with my boys for a road football game, flew in early Friday AM with one guy and we walked the city from AT&T to the Wharf, to Ghiradeli Square, past Lombard and then up to the tower overlooking the city. Saw most of these things in 5 hours for only the cost of lunch and a bunch of miles walked (and saw all I needed of these things). Quick, easy, and could say I have done it, but touring the Alcatraz and the porn studio both sound actually pretty interesting.
It gave me third-hand scaries, no chill
Everyday in the afternoon my boss will have a snack comprising of carrots and apples at a decibel level of a jackhammer
“He got me by the horse collar.. 15 yards”, lost it at my desk
In Seattle, there is Flatstick Pub, a mini golf bar that opened a few years back, pretty cool bar
To the golf question, I would choose BIll Murray and it’s not even close, dude is a legend in fun and on the course

underrated*, brain still hungover from the weekend
Maybe not top 5 but an unrated classic that stays funny on the 10th time watching it
Papa John’s is pretty good
Micah is giving them away for free if you DM him

Gus Johnson easily the best, dude can hype anything
Flight home Sunday with day off Monday. Having regrets in my own bed is a lot better than a foreign couch/bed.

Costco Polish Dog and Soda for $1.50, PGPM
Care if I tag along?
As a Seattle native, I could give a solid take on the city but it has been played out quite a bit.

Had 10 days off of work in early July, let the beard go and haven’t looked back. Looking forward to rocking it around the tailgates in the fall
Staycations are heavily underrated
