The number one thing I learned pre-marriage was that if a man wants to be with you, he’ll be with you. The whole “did I text back to fast?” game playing is ridiculous after college. It doesn’t matter how quickly you text him back. He’s just not that into dating you.
I see your point but to counter I think without Girl, there isn’t a long-game for this universe. If it’s just stories about a likable guy who has a good life, that’s not interesting. The main reason most of us keep coming back is the hoped for downfall of Girl, which would mean John or Todd would have to become just as detestable as Girl if she were removed from the plot.
I have to agree. This series is one of the website’s biggest draws and I don’t see it ending any time soon. TGDAG: Single would very quickly get too repetitive so the only way to keep it going is to have her get engaged and married to Todd.
I think part of the problem is thinking you have to maintain a facade for your partner. If you’re in a solid relationship, you’re honest with each other.
I make more than my husband but at the end of the day, everything goes into the same account and all money is considered joint. Takes the pressure off of the difference in salaries.
I went to a wedding where both the groom and best man gave 45 minute speeches. It was also a cash bar. On NYE. The ceremony was at 12pm, the reception was an hour drive from the church, and they didn’t start serving any food until 5pm. The reception ended at 1am. I have never hated a wedding more.
Engagement photos are the worst. Before social media, they were almost unheard of. Now it’s just another thing couples (brides) do for the likes. Put that money towards the top-shelf open bar.
I think that John and Todd were friends before John became Caroline’s boyfriend so it makes sense to invite your friends’ parents if it’s a big wedding and you grew up with them. I also think I have too much invested in this.
Feel this. I was the only one from college to move to the East Coast and then I moved to London. It was insanely hard as introvert to get out there and make new friends.
30 and my husband and I are on my parents’ family plan. No shame my dad has an incredible rate that’s not available anymore so we just venmo them our share. Much cheaper that way.
I honestly think she’d be a brunette because she would *totes* identify with Blair Waldorf.

Forget friends going with you, who the hell has enough PTO to take a 10 day honeymoon?
Hate to be this person but Macy dumped Guy a few months ago so she can’t be Girl.
Eyebrow threading for $4 has changed my life.
Grew up with German Shepherds and they were awesome. The day we move into a house is the day we get one.

Spaghetti bolognese with some garlic bread, maybe a little wine.

My apologies then! I misinterpreted your writing.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. You are 30 years old and attended 9 wedding last year. Buy a tux and stop renting.

Will, you’re almost 30. It’s time to man up and just buy a tux.
