Contrarian opinion for #4 – use your leftovers after the obvious stuff (Roth, 401k, 10k savings account) for a high-risk high-reward scenario. Start your dream business, invest in a new skill, or your friend’s nutty startup, whatever. Shoot your shot. No better time to take a calculated risk than when you have 45 earning years ahead of you. (In my humble opinion)
Walked by a former coworker during my lunch break just yesterday. No words were spoken, just eye contact and a drive-by fist bump. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
Contrarian opinion you didn’t ask for: Quit the side hustle and double down on your main career. You’re less likely to breakout if you’re too burnt out to do it. Instead spend a few of those hours working on a special project outside of your day-to-day that could move the needle. That’s how you get that STEM salary in a creative field.
This is fantastic. That second paragraph had me cracking up.
Nothing quite goes together like “Back Home” and Rumplemintz.
RIP wishing ya’ll the best. Was the community that drew me into this, less than the content itself.
John Candy would have been 68 yesterday, nice touch. RIP

Slightly disappointed there’s no mention of the book, which has one of the best opening paragraphs in horror, if not literature. Do check it.
Good on you guys for making your ads interesting.
For real though? I need more weekend content to get me through my massive recurring case of the Mondays.

Goddammit I only read a few of these and now I’m going to have to read from start to finish now.
You just HAD to have this take right before Baltimore’s first PGP brunch? Buzzkill Will over here…
Failing to diversify your friend portfolio is a tragedy. You just can’t time that market.
But the rec league could be legit – hope you give it a try. Best of luck!
OP here, I knew name dropping Baltimore was a good idea. I’m in for happy hour
