Our office has a casual dress code, garden party, not slumber party, If you dress in “sportswear” you may be more over dressed then my director who wears shorts and flip flops but no one will think you’re out of place. proceed with caution though, I’ve heard of people in the interviews who came in a suit get chastised by their recruiter and trashed on by everyone they talked to.
If your phone number isn’t at the bottom, and i have to look for it to avoid sending 30 emails over something that could be explained in 30 seconds over the phone, you can bet ill be annoyed by the time you hear it ring.
I’ve married into more debt than I know what to do with, over 90k. I was lucky and went to a dirt cheep state school and got grad school paid for. It’s very hard to articulate the pressure a payment for this puts us under. (We we’re engaged before her loans came due) But it does keep me grinding, doing under the table work as well as my corporate job. How should I inspire my other half to take the same path? Or at least not insist on 250$ “go for drinks” every weekend
I giarantee someone asked when they walked by your empty desk to steal a pen or post-it where you were, and someone else said i habe no idea, havent seen them, but they are responding to emails, must be working from home today. And that became offical truth weather you took a nap from 11-1 and hit the gym at 3 or not.
Don’t loose out on a job because you “weren’t a good cultural fit”

Well Southwest was your first mistake, any company that trusts its customers to choose for themselves when time is a factor is certifiable.
