I'd rather be golfing.
Seattle sucks so I write about that.
Also work...ish in recruiting. Shoot your resume to kiawahislandstripclub@gmail.com for any and all job hunt questions.
I wouldn’t say it’s required then but there’s a pretty good bar reference here. Think of recruiters as being hard 10’s at the bar and you’re a soft 5, tops. You normally wouldn’t have a chance with those hard 10’s as a soft 5, but if you’re one of the few people at the bar, they’ll certainly take a look at you and might even go home with you to break a dry-spell. If your career field doesn’t “require” LinkedIn and/or there aren’t a lot of people in your field on LI, your chances of standing out are that much better.
Totally depends on your profession to be honest. People like nurses, doctors, etc. really won’t utilize them that much but it totally depends on your role. What do you do?
Maybe this will be read or maybe not. BM hit a lot of good points here when it comes to job hunting. I may sound like a condescending asshole here but what the hell…
I work as a recruiting manager in a very large company. I have seen what works well and what doesn’t work well on interviewing, resumes, etc. etc.
Would there be interest in an article on here about how to switch jobs or put your best foot forward? I don’t meant this sarcastically, either. If people want to read what it looks like from the other side of the table, I will gladly share what I know in the event that it could help some people.
Recruiter here…..you might want to get that degree thing checked out, btw. Most decent companies will run a background check on someone after the verbal offer and before the written offer. You could easily fail a background check because of this. The 3rd party that runs the background check likely won’t tell the company who offered you why, either. It’ll literally come back as “failed background check.” You could have done 20 for kiddie porn or you could have been a credit hour short of a degree, most background check firms won’t differentiate between the two when giving the thumbs up or thumbs down on someone to a company.
I know that’s deep and way too much effort for a Friday afternoon, but seriously, don’t fuck yourself over on something like this.
Also work in recruiting and had a hiring manager tell me that she once had a guy tell her that he couldn’t accept the position on her team. Why? He told her that she and him would end up hooking up after a few months and everyone in the office would find out. He turned down the offer to “save her her job at the company.”
She thinks he did it to be a dick and she knew he already had a better offer in hand. I still can’t decide if it’s a shooter’s shoot, PGPM or just a completely unprofessional act.
If you have a college degree they’ll actually pay you about 65k your first year and then about 10 years down the road you’ll be near 150k. I have a friend who did this program and he absolutely loves it (minus working holidays/weekends/nights).
Eh, the snowflakes are driven out mostly, already. The military will give you the same treatments as this facility but will actually pay you a little bit in the process while also giving you housing.
If China and/or Russia wants to invade us they would have way more success because all of our gazillion dollar shit was broken….not because of the Soldiers in uniform.

That’s more me doing a shitty job in learning to not speak like I did in the military.
I did

Just kidding Will, love you.
Thoughts on Treetops resort? Considering taking the wife there next year….
I had to share a shower with Afghans while deployed. If you think this shit is fucked up….
I have enough realism in my life. I don’t need that here, too.
You forgot close the deal with Chelsea from this list.
Huskies are where it’s at

They don’t make them like this anymore.
