Mykonos and Santorini are nice but there are many more authentic and overall better options. I would recommend looking into Athens, Nafplio, Corfu, Crete (chania), Hydra, Rhodes, Skiathos, Ios, and Naxos. I would be happy to make more detailed recommendations, just ask!
TBH the best cities are in Europe. Not necessarily for making money, but if you can earn a living its hard to beat the lifestyle and personality of the cities.
The whole last name debate is super interesting to me. The truth of the matter is that there is no logical argument against the woman keeping her own name. It is just as valid for the woman to make the man take her last name if we are looking at this in a totally unbiased fashion. You are either a traditionalist (the woman should take the mans last name) or you are not. As time goes on I believe it will become less common for couples to adhere to the traditionalist mentality. That being said I am a firm traditionalist and would need to someone actively onboard with taking my name. To each their own though.
