So two weeks ago Valentine’s Day was the biggest, most important thing ever to Girl, but since she didn’t get a proposal it is a joke? I hope she is still not engaged next February to see that attitude change back (and among other things of course).
You should see if you can reconnect. Just give it a shot and see if you can further explain your reasoning for the opinion you gave and maybe you have learned from it through new experiences, etc. Or just mention how that was one bad situation and how you had so many other good ones. Odds are you end up shotgunning beers together, because guys are much better at forgiveness and not holding dumb grudges. It’s like how you can not see close guy friends for months and pick up right where you left off some time later.
It’s because the general public might be offended by words and then wouldn’t support that person and their craft. Like someone said, too much risk of offending someone. Which I think is a shitty reflection of our society to be honest. Pretty sad.
