An ex of mine started showing angry/ violent behavior after about 6 months. The more I excused it and forgave him, the worse it got. He would cry and apologize but go right back to his abusive ways the next day. Easier said than done, but listen to the red flags and get out sooner than later!
I used to do that too but I actually think some guys will be relieved to know that you’re not following some premade script for dating. and it takes a lot of pressure off the situation to just have sex when you feel like it even when it’s early!
Hometown hookups are the move here. You’ve know them probably a decade so it’s comfortable, but don’t live in the same city as them so you can’t get as attached.
