I’m from Michigan and always have called it lightening. Interesting to find out it’s mainly a Michigan thing. Never heard it called anything else or knew any different.
Agreed. I can’t for the life of me understand how people like the NBA more than college basketball. All they are are a bunch of overpaid crybabies that try to get fouled for 48 minutes when they can finally find a guy close enough to foul them. No defense and they play music during the game for Christ’s sake. It’s like watching the Harlem Globetrotters except they aren’t actually entertaining. Not to mention Dwight Howard crying for fouls every possession so he can brick 2 free throws.
I grew up 30 miles north of Flint and can confirm. You can find houses for like 20-30k. Granted, they are basically structures that are falling apart – place is a shit hole.
Wow, I started deriving that first equation instead of factoring it. I don’t know whether that means I can math or if it’s sad that a derivative is my first thought when I see an easy square like that (those were the best derivatives in calc 1).
I had the same problem at my internship a few years ago. They gave us 4 modules and some daily activities to do but those took maybe 2 hours total of an 8 hour day. Some things I did: Explored the company portal and found contacts for future promotions, learned the portal like the back of my hand, researched things on the internet about the industry to see what others have to say or are doing (no idea what industry you’re in but there’s always room to learn), read a book about the owner of the company in order to “enhance my corporate knowledge and learn the company culture better,” talked to the secretaries and tried to help them with some busy work (that’s how bored I was), thought of new projects to present to my boss.
I’m sure these aren’t as suitable for the full-time corporate world but boy did I learn how to waste some time….
You wanna complain about employee loyalty? That’s a two-way street. My family learned that the hard way when my mother, one time saleswoman of the year for a major pharma company got laid off after 23 years when an acquisition took place. From that moment on I learned to look out for myself and my family because corporate America sure as hell won’t.
Going through that a lot lately. And then when you finally do get the call, those few seconds of sheer terror/nervousness/anxiousness before and shortly after you answer it.
I’m in the same boat. #YesAllShortGuysAtBars
Well… do you?
Dillon sounds like he tries really hard to sound manly and have a deep voice.
This is by far one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen. The music doesn’t help either.
The narcissism of people that social media has created is flat out amazing and truly sad/frightening.

You got that right. Sounds like a hard PASS.
Your name should’ve been “PGPundergrad.”
…I’ll see myself out.
As long as she’s on your side though…
PGP.
Yeah I guess over $100k median family income really isn’t much better than Flint. You got me.

Sorry, end rant.

If that were the case, yes. Hm, that must mean it’s not the case? Interesting….
Lol

But did you at least get a couple weeks off because of strikes?
