I don’t even know how to use Instagram past posting a single photo and if I’m really adventurous maybe even use a filter. I’m not exactly ashamed of that either, for reasons presented in this story.
Hot take: I don’t know how people work from home; I need to get out of the apartment. My office is built for productivity, my apartment is not. Depends on your job and industry, however.
Agreed. First and only time I saw my ex was 3 years later when we happened to be in our hometown at the same time. Had been casually talking just about how things were going, then she asked me to grab drinks. Long story short we ended up making out in my car and hopping into the back seat before we decided that probably wouldn’t be a good idea. Haven’t spoke since.
Pet peeve of mine when people say “sorry I’m bad with names.” No one is really “good with names” but if you work on it it’s not that hard and it can pay dividends. Basically what you’re saying is “I’m not really paying enough attention to you to remember your name.” If you make a conscious effort to remember someone’s name it can pay off big time. People like hearing their name and it shows that you actually care and are able to pay attention (even if you don’t.)
Sorry for the grumpy post but come on people, make some effort.
To the engineer thinking about going to SA: Do it. As someone who has moved across the country 3 times in the last 2 years all by choice, and settled alone 800 miles away from home, you only will have 1 opportunity to do it like this in your life. Go for it while you’re young and have no other attachments.
I’m probably in the minority since all my friends are across the country and none really near me, but fuck it dude. You’ll never have another chance to do it in your life. And the 12-14 hour workdays? You’ll be alright, I do it (usually) 6 days a week and the reward of 3 weeks vacation on the company dime would totally be worth it to me. Don’t settle, you can always go back home.
It blows my mind how people, namely rappers, can be so wealthy yet so fucking stupid. I know, I know, capitalism and stuff, but holy shit. These guys look like fucking care bears with their tattooed faces. I sit here grinding away at my 9-5 as a respectable human and they’re out there making millions for mumbling. Just mind blowing stuff we’ve got going on.
There’s a really nice private club up near the city by me that offers a junior membership. Designed for those fresh out of college until like age 30. They said that they realize golf needs people our age to carry on the sport and we can’t always afford it, so by offering a junior membership to successful young people, they hope to win us over and grandfather us in to the full-priced membership later on in life. Pretty good idea that I’m actually considering. It was nice to see them reaching out to the younger folks and this is one of the nicest courses in the area.
Goes to sorority house for mom’s weekend. Ends up hooking up with mom. PGPM for days.
Oh shit! Please say yes. Idk what this means but I want to find out.
Hey man it’s always cougar szn.

What a time to be alive.
Urban Meyer says hi.
I’ve never been to a music festival.
