Well technically, Noah is mixed races, and he’s not really required to respect this country. I think CC was looking for someone to hone the helm of the Daily Show for the next 15 years and picked a young, lesser-known comedian who just didn’t have the same style as Stewart or Colbert. They probably would have been better off just letting the show go or at least give it a year or two. Noah actually has some funny standup material, but he just doesn’t have the right delivery for the humor of the show.
