This is advice looking past 1L summer (I’d suggest begging literally any judge to let you clerk because that’s the best thing you can possibly do). But, I was corporate law all the way in law school and graduated recently. Took me a year to find a gig and required me to move from a big city in Texas I wanted to live to a not big city in west Texas. So be prepared to go anywhere if that’s what you have your heart set on. It was tough to leave where I wanted to be, but getting to do what I wanted was worth it. Enjoying what you do is more important than the city you’re in (everywhere has happy hour and you work 60+ hours a week anyway).
Well, damn, skimming abilities not on par today. My apologies. If it’s any consolation, I had to send the same document to a client 3 times because of lack of reading comprehension… It’s a Monday.
Betas turn read receipts off. Alphas leave them on and let the other party who doesn’t get a response decipher why said response only received a read receipt. Either because it didn’t warrant a response or because the reader is telling you you’re irrelevant.
Should have just owned up to it. Most guys probably assume you show your dates to your girl friends anyway. Maybe in the overwhelming narcissist in me, but if a girl was like oh well, all my friends judged your attractiveness level and you passed, I’d be pumped.
Commented that I hoped your date was going well to non-PGP readers Friday. Confusion ensued and I had to explain how I became so invested in this budding relationship. But it’s good to know our boy’s a closer.
Nah. I live in Texas. Been to more jeans weddings than formal. And even when it is formal one of the wedding party’s extended family shows up in jeans anyway haha.
