I’m single in an apartment and stand by my queen bed against the wall. It keeps the blankets tucked better, it helps my dog get on the bed, and it gives room for a dresser, desk & bookshelf. Also anytime someone else joins in bed, we are entering bed together from one side
Paris: If you want to avoid some ‘American tourist’ prejudices, speak a bit softer and pretend to be Canadian, either by saying it or having a visible Canadian maple leaf pin on your bag. Versailles is a must. Louvre is great but so is Musee D’Orsay and it’s cheaper. Musee D’Orsay doens’t have the peak art like Louvre but you can get through the whole thing in several hours instead of days. Go outside the Centre Pompidou but don’t bother going in. Crepes are a must and all food is delicious so stray outsize your comfort zone a bit. Learn greetings in French and ‘est-ce que tu parlai anglais?’ It will go over much better than just starting right into English as if they should cater to your ignorance. Wine, wine, wine. Champs-Elysees is a fun browse but don’t get too wild shopping since the area has its prices jacked up.
Barcelona: If you want some nightlife, there are the beach bars ($$$$) or also Razzmatazz is (or was) the biggest club in Europe. Also Esprits Chupitos is a shots-only bar that is fun. The beach is incredible and the seafood and paella are great, but be prepared for the shrimp to be whole (including the head) everywhere in Europe. Barcelona’s official language is actually Catalan, not Spanish so they are actually more open to English than other Spanish cities. Sagrada Familia, Casa Milo, Park Guell & Casa Batllo are all designed by Gaudi and if either of you have any interest in unique architecture there is nothing more unique than Gaudi.
Brown & grey I’m not a fan. Tan & grey is fire. Tan shoes naturally go with anything except black and even with black they can work with the right ensemble.
I met some people in NYC who all worked together and 8 of them split a 2BR 1B with 4 beds and worked separate shifts…so they shared beds. It was also a 75min commute.
It’s been 18 years since a woman proposed to her boyfriend on the biggest hit show of the time, and it still hasn’t caught on. Don’t think it’s gonna happen

Do not fall asleep on me, I will move you so I can sleep. I’m a furnace, I don’t need you making me wake up in a puddle of sweat.
