Meh, its not hard to attain a comfortable lifestyle on a decent salary, just have to make sacrifices. Luckily, in my industry it would pretty easy for me to slide back into my old position in my old city.
Fuck everyone who is saying “NYC sucks ass blah blah blah” By the time you make it to NYC, based on your timeline, you will have some solid experience, and be able to afford a nicer place than you think.
I am all about chasing your dreams and doing something different than what is expected of you. Just a few months ago I relocated to a tropical destination, while taking a pay cut and living in a city where the cost of living near NYC’s, and so far it has been the best decision of my life.
I think the the bigger issue lies with the editors and the people who give the authority to post these articles. They run off the talented writers (Brian and Knox), but then they post this crap. It would be one thing if PGP was a blog where she is able to post whatever the hell she wants, but her content has to go through some type of chain of command to get posted. That’s where I think we need to point our frustration.
I watch at least one ‘sode a night on CNBC. Love seeing the Sharks take shits on all these “entrepreneurs” that think they just need a marketing campaign to get their shitty product to more potential customers.
My question is, why in the hell would Captain Dipshit want to wait to call and his A/C fixed?! If my A/C is out for more than an hour I’m in panic mode and start dial A/C repair guys like a fucking demon.
Another problem of people in this demo is the fake sympathy that spews all over twitter/facebook when a natural disaster or some other news-worthy event happens thousands of miles away. Its all just people wanting pat themselves on the back for what good humans they are being. I hate to tell you putting “praying 4 _____ ” as your facebook status does nothing, pony up the $10 to donate to the Red Cross if you really want to help.
