You seem pretty pretty vested in this so I will expound: It takes me 15 minutes to get from my office to Equinox in Tyson’s. After spending about ninety minutes to two hours there, traffic has cleared and it takes me about thirty minutes to get back to the Hill. Overall trip time: 45 minutes- even with going a couple miles north.
If I leave my office and go straight back to the city, where I used to belong to Vida in the Navy Yard- it can take me up to an hour and twenty minutes to get there because of the time of day. Plus, my mood would be shot after sitting in so much traffic, I’d find myself resistant to going.
Gyms located in Fairfax do not meet my needs.
I hope this clears up all you confusion about my gym memberships and driving routes 🙂
Tysons is east of Fairfax and is on the way back to DC. I’m interested in the fact that you seek clarification on this. However, I like it because there isn’t too much traffic between the office and the gym, then I go to the gym, wait out traffic til 730 or so and cruise home with much more ease. And my gym is awesome so going doesn’t really seem like a chore.
It doesn’t have anything to do with income. That struck me as an odd comment…
Never change! The less basic the better. I think a big reason we all (extremely justifiably) hate Todd’s girlfriend is her lack of originality, depth, and character- which you have in spades. She epitomizes basic and flits from trend to trend with no unique thought.
PS. Godzilla is such a rad name for a pet lizard. You’re friends sounds like he was bougie AF with his kale.
He’s a fancy guy. Everyone knows that. In another time and place I would have heeded the vibe no doubt. I was literally was the only one- felt like a Clampett. :/
Of course! We’re starting the weekly advice column (details at the end of the column)- ask anything! If privacy 1:1 is more your style, contact me through my website.
Or… Just keep reading the columns. So happy to have you!
I immediately pass out when I get to my seat unless I absolutely HAVE to get work done, so it ends up being a waste of money.
I flew economy plus to my wedding which is pretty rad though. Mainly because I wanted to board early without some asshat putting her Vera Bradley on top of my wedding dress.
I know; it’s definitely not a fun thing for many people. There are some ways to make it more approachable and bearable though. Maybe look for an article on that soon.
Sales is also an amazing, highly-demanded, (and more rare than you think) skill to have. If you like it and find yourself good at it, stick with it and you’ll be able to write a lot of good tickets for yourself.
For someone reason this instantly read in a dad voice in my head. Not surprised. I like it.
We needed Dave to break this one to us.
There are many things happening here that Jizz.com and Craig’s List cannot fix. And that is saying a lot.
I’m sad now.
Also his parents actively listen for his jerk-off noises? Like what do they do? Bust him and ground him?
Haha always! At least there’s someone I wasn’t a total boob to…

Wow, traffic really brings people together. I should write about it more often!
Only the best for you. Much love.

George is captain-ing the getaway boat.
You mean Siskel and Ebert. #OG #RIP
No “Get Lobotomy”? I think she needs some real girlfriends to set her straight. Maybe someone will during #allthedinnerparties. I nominate Lesley.
Grandex interns obviously make $200/hour.

No knock on farming though; that’s rad too.
Also, I feel pretty good closing 2015 on a “poet noble land mermaid” note. Thank you for that.
