Having to use Google to find out what Freeform is. PGP. I legitimately had no idea that ABC Family changed its name. Goodbye to yet another piece of my childhood.
Definitely old parent. I’m way too selfish to have kids anytime soon. There’s just so much of the world that I want to explore and having a kid puts a serious damper on that ability. Shooting for early 30s.
Second date troubles guy: if you have a great date with a girl, text her the next day and set up a date there and then. If she was into you as much as you were into her, she’ll be down to make plans for another date the day after the first date. And if she’s not…well you have your answer and no point wasting time.
On that note, I know that everyone here has a boner (figuratively and maybe literally) for CMV, but I’ve actually myself being able to identify the most with Rachel Varina’s pieces.
Would it be possible to get more content tailored to late 20 somethings/early 30 somethings? I’ve been on this site for almost 4(!) years and although I still feel like I just graduated college, I’m closer to 30 than 21. Would love to read articles about some of things we encounter as we get somewhat farther away from college and into real adulthood (tips for those in long term relationships, how to take the next financial steps e.g. buying a home or a new car, etc.).
Sounds like you’re in a nice and comfortable place with Jack, but there’s no future because you’re moving, whereas there is a future with Jeff because he’ll only be a few hours away.
Since your impending move is the main reason things with Jack haven’t gone any farther, it’s a good decision to end them now, whatever the catalyst may be.
Staying home with the girlfriend, Chinese food and a nice bottle of wine then a big family dinner on the 1st (New Years is a really big deal for Russians).
It’s not your boss’s business what you do with your money. If this was the only reason for his denial of your raise, I would say that a conversation with HR is warranted.
My girlfriend and I had a 4-hour first date (drinks that ended up becoming dinner and then more drinks) and made plans for the second date at the end of the first date. I texted her the next day around lunchtime to say I had a good time and to confirm the second date. Then I held off texting her until the second date (a few days later) because I believed, and still do, that frequent texting in the initial stages of dating is a bad idea. It wasn’t until a few dates into us dating that we stated texting daily.
Nope. With Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/On Demand, I don’t remember the last time I watched a movie on live TV.

Username checks out.
These people deserve all the diarrhea they’re inevitably going to get.
I browse the mobile version of the site on my phone. It’s not ideal, but it works well enough.
It’s time like these where I wish the PGP app worked better. There’s no way in hell that I’m opening this article on my work computer.

I’ve actually found myself*
Dammit, PGP, it’s 2018. Get some sort of edit button policy in place!
Absolutely and I’m glad my sentiment is echoed.

To the guy who slept with the girl that sleeps on the air mattress: I think you fucked Duda’s soul mate.

“The company isn’t doing as well most people think.”
Sucks he denied your raise, but (assuming he isn’t full of shit) that statement would give me worry.
If there’s ever been a case for a DTR talk, this is it.
Very good point. I guess saying that she wasn’t over her ex means that she had feelings for him, but your description is definitely more fitting.
