With all the comments about the inability to discharge student loan debt in bankruptcy, what if you refinance into a private loan? You lose the federal protections for better rates, but would the refinanced loan be subject to bankruptcy?
On a side note any recommendations for refinancing out there? I’d like to shave a few percent off the next 7 years..

Can we get the stats on what it takes to be considered “financially stable” or “wealthy” in a place like, say, Gary, Indiana so we can all feel better? Or Detroit – it has to be considered “stable” if you’re not bankrupt in Detroit.

But adult sports leagues afford you the opportunity to watch people take co-ed softball and kickball way too seriously because they have nothing else going for them. And that makes me feel better about myself.
As a local who was hammered in the quarter at 4 PM last Friday after a drinking lunch turned into a not going back to the office lunch, I’m excited to see where this guy trip, and series, is heading. All in
I don’t have any problem with including non-legal employment. Some people go to law school for business reasons and never practice. That was my intent, until I found out you can make good to great money as a lawyer and experience a well above average stress and substance abuse rate.
