Hello out there. I am not Dillon Cheverere, but I will attempt to fill in for him since it’s Friday, I have a little free time, and I want to get a goddam dialogue going on this website right now. Consider me Colin Quinn on his first night hosting Weekend Update after Norm got fired (Dillon’s in Europe, he didn’t get fired). I hope I do this justice.
It’s humid in Austin, Texas. If you’re making the trip to Darrell K. Royal Stadium, please pack appropriately. Guys- Columbia PFGs, dri-fit golf polos, and shoes you don’t really care about (it’s gonna rain at some point). Ladies- same, but substitute comparable fashion choices that I am very unqualified to opine on. I will very likely be in attendance, but for how long I do not know. As you may have seen, we have made a new addition to our family in the form of a dog named Randy.
Randy is tiiiite, but I’m not ready to be the guy who brings a dog to the tailgate. That’s just too much responsibility right now, and I honestly don’t know how much fun the Rand-man would have. Even with the weather situation, we’re expecting a big turnout to the Grandex-Criquet Shirts tailgate. I’ve heard from a few readers and listeners who will be in attendance, and the last thing I want to do is not be able to meet and greet the good people of Peej Nation. I am absolutely looking forward to it.
As for tonight? I’ll probably pick up dinner from some painfully Austin place, have myself one man-sized cold beer, and show Randy what it’s like to watch a meaningless 3.5 hour Ranger game from the comforts of his new home. It’ll be a mild precursor to the electric atmosphere he’ll be in come Sunday night. OHHHHHHHHHH SUNDAY NIIIIIGHT. Randy’s first ‘boys game, guys. Might be the first time he sees me cry. Can’t. Wait.
Tell me three things before we call it a day:
1. What’s for dinner tonight?
2. What’s up this weekend?
3. What was the best piece of content on the site this week?
Feedback Friday. New series? We’ll see about it..
Thanks for asking, Dave. Longtime reader, first time commenter on this series – I’m getting annihilated tonight
Last I saw you were riding a bike around town. Prove it.
Got a surprise party for a friends dirty 30th tonight. Tomorrow is my first bird hunting trip in the Uinta Mountains, going to chase some ptarmigan and grouse with a few new buddies. We connected on a Facebook group and haven’t met face to face yet which is a little sketchy, but at least we’ll all have shotguns so nobody has the upper hand.
1) Some Ramen.
2) Some Ramen and raw men.
3) The ramen related content.

Going to watch my future brother-in-law’s country band perform tonight. Luckily the whole family will be there, so atleast I won’t be paying for my drinks.
Also, great choice on getting a golden retriever, Dave. My 8 month old pup is 80 pounds and still growing, so good luck.
