Getting hit with a golf ball hurts. I wouldn’t know because I’m constantly trying to keep myself out of harm’s way, but I have a friend who got pummeled by a shot after another buddy skulled the shit out of a fairway iron directly into his back. While my friend ran around the fairway wincing, I laughed so hard that I almost fell out of the cart. Sure, it could’ve potentially killed him, but it didn’t so it was hilarious.

Well, there was a similar situation during the second round of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship when Jordan Spieth had an errant drive that hit an unsuspecting fan directly in the booty meat.

While I could watch people getting hit in the ass by a golf ball for probably an entire day without getting tired of it, it was amplified by the announcers showing zero sympathy for this dude, per Golf Digest.

“I think, perhaps, that was a real stroke of fortune — not for the spectator, but for Jordan Spieth,” Donnelly gets the ball rolling.

“I think he’s going to have a nasty bruise on the derriere, and he’s getting NO sympathy from the lady. She thinks it’s absolutely hilarious,” Brown said. “Dear, dear, that was nearly a plugged lie.”

“He’ll be standing at the bar tonight,” Donnelly adds.

I guess they laughed for the same reason I did. Dude didn’t die, so it goes from tragedy to hilarity in no time. And the #SummerOfSpieth continues well into winter. .
