We already know that the ESPN 30 For 30 on John Daly is going to bring us to tears. That’s just a given. But this clip dropped by ESPN this afternoon has me on the edge of my seat in anticipation.
“I went in the locker room and downed like 5 beers. I think I shot 4 under on the front nine.” – CLASSIC JOHN
Five beers at the turn? I shouldn’t be shocked, because it is JD, but five seems like a lot. Me? I’m more of a hotdog and purple G2 guy at the turn. That’s how I maintain this low-to-mid-eighties golf life. Swing grease is swing grease, though, and you’d have to be some kind of asshole to criticize JD for lubing up his swing. The results speak for themselves.
For me, the real story here is that this only happened one time. I know he respects the game despite being a verified wild man, but that number has got to be in double digits, right?.

Everyone knows that five beers in is when you hit your stride – anything more than that gets sloppy, and anything less makes you drag.
It’s called swing-juice for a reason. Grip it and rip it, big dawg.
This 30 for 30 is going to be the singular positive sports moment of my entire 2016.
If you don’t follow the Blackhawks, Chicago is very accepting of bandwagoners. You still have like 3 hours to have liked the Cubs since grade school!
Every good team has obnoxious band-wagoners. Comes with the territory.
No way this was just a one time occurrence
John Daly is an American hero.
