Listen: I don’t care if you followed along with season 1 of HBO’s Westworld or not.
But Jared, everyone who knows you knows you love two things: Chex Mix Bold Party Blend and Westworld!
This is true, yet I still could not care less about whether you tuned into the appointment television masterpiece that is Westworld every Sunday night back in late 2016. In fact, if that is the case for your particular situation? I’m here to offer you your in. And if you’re already a Westworld fanatic? Boy do I have the Westworld companion podcast for you (and I’m not biased).
Here’s the Westworld season 1 trailer in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, by the way.
You’re hooked. I know.
With the new Westworld podcast I’m doing with Ross Bolen on Grandex Labs called Freeze All Motor Functions, we are starting at the beginning of Westworld THIS MONDAY and watching all the way through season 1 — one episode every Monday — before season 2 premieres in April. We’ll be recapping each episode as if it’s our first time watching it, so there will be absolutely zero spoilers for all you Westworld newcomers out there. Then when we’re done? We’re going to grind through season 2 together. Like a family. And unlike literally every other Westworld podcast on iTunes, ours won’t be full of way too many way too complex discussions of artificial intelligence and the impact of thermodynamic nucleospaceships or whatever. This is the common man’s Westworld podcast – it’ll be a fun, easy, interesting listen because that’s how it should be. Join us on this multi-month journey out West.
Want in because everyone always talks about how great Westworld is and you no longer want to feel left out? Want in because you want to be as prepared as possible for season 2 by rewatching season 1? Maybe you just need people to talk about Westworld with? These are all great reasons to make Freeze All Motor Functions part of your weekly routine. Listen to our intro episode below, then smash this MF Grandex Labs subscribe button to get each episode sent directly to you right when it drops -> THE BUTTON.
HEY LOOK IT’S THE GRANDEX LABS SUBSCRIBE BUTTON AGAIN! MAKE SURE TO SMASH IT!
Like I said earlier, we are blasting out our season 1, episode 1 recap THIS COMING MONDAY, so all you need to do is watch Westworld Episode 1: The Original by then. And here’s exactly how you should do just that.

9:30 p.m. – Watch live feed of Philadelphia burning because of either a victory or a defeat
10:00 p.m. – Watch episode 1 of Westworld: “The Original”
Monday
When it drops – Listen to Freeze All Motor Functions’ recap of “The Original”
Too easy.
Tell a friend. Tell your mother. Tell your postman. Tell me. Tell the world. Let’s do this..

West World is actually a true stor……*gunshot from an undisclosed locatuon*
*”UGH” heard from an undisclosed location*
Aha! There you are, you sneaky motherfucker. Can I ask you an extremely personal question? Were you the voice of Daria in the cartoon Daria because “ugh” seems to give it away
Nah man. Ya boi is just exhausted all the time and can’t handle your piping hot takes.
Love the new prof pic
New Team New Me
*sees picture of the logo* Doesn’t look like anything to me
Freeze All Motor Functions’ tagline is “It doesn’t sound like anything to me.”
Huge lost opportunity to bring back the bone zone this football season. I’m not mad, just disappointed.
It lies dormant, waiting… watching…
Might be the best show on TV, and I say that knowing the competition.
Season 2 is going to be WILD. A season 1 rewatch beforehand is essential for me; I’ve forgotten too many of the small details.
Season 1 rewatch with a breakdown of the meanings behind bicameral mind theory, cognitive dissonance, and the maze is a must Jared. Would recommend you look into those topics if you haven’t already before the ‘cast.
Wrong. The best show on television is The Resident, which can be seen on FOX Monday nights at 8:00 (central time)
LOL
105% here for this, even though I’m sure at least half of season one floated straight over my head
Just watched episode 1…pretty perplexing show! It’s almost like you..the programmer wanted us to know 😉
