October is usually the best time to sling back nice pumpkin beers, hard apple cider, and some Oktoberfest. However, this October Applebee’s restaurants across the state of Texas are trying to change all that.
For the entire month of October Applebee’s in the Lone Star State will be offering $1 Margaritas at over 60 locations.
But if you thought one-dollar margs sounded great, get ready to have a full-on-the-rocks hard erection because Wednesdays they will be offering the “Dollarita” for a mere fifty cents. So, even if you’re unemployed you can still manage to scrape up enough change to enjoy a happy hour like the rest of us.
So, the next time any of you Texas PGP’ers think about going out for drinks, skip out on your local watering hole and stroll into your local neighborhood Applebee’s with a $20 and prepare to make it rain.
This just may be enough to convert some people into Applebee’s people, but until they start pumping out dollar margs to the rest of the country, I’ll still be getting my margs by the over-sized glass at my favorite local Mexican joint..

Oktoberfest beers are for September
They do this after 11 every night
Friend: “Where ya goin tonight?”
Me: “A swanky spot called the Apple Club.”
“OH NO MAN CHILIS ALL THE WAY” – every uncultured swine on PGP. Step into an Applebee’s and tell me you want to go to Chilis ever again. It’s called class sweetie.
I know I’m the Chilis Guy, but I might go spy on Applebees and see what they’re doing this month. I wonder if they’ll let me in after that incident back in ’12 involving a midget and a bottle of windex…
Downside: You still have to go into an Applebees.
You clearly don’t appreciate eating good in the neighborhood.
