Happy National Donut Day, everyone! Esteemed donut chain Dunkin’ Donuts has devised a way to streamline service and allow your lard ass to skip right to the front of the line.
Per Business Insider:
Dunkin’s new app, available in the App Store or Google Play as “New Dunkin’ Donuts,” allows customers to place on-the-go orders up to 24 hours in advance, skipping the line to pick up the orders inside the restaurant or via drive-thru. Payment is automatic, using the Dunkin’ Donuts card through the app.
The app will help improve two of the most important parts of business at any quick-service chain: increasing speed and reducing mistakes.
I’m all about getting to my donuts in as speedy a manner as humanly possible, and apps like this might just fuck around and change the game. Let’s hope that local donut places follow suit with apps like this, as they are usually far superior to Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts.
“This is ground shaking,” Dunkin’ CEO Nigel Travis told Business Insider. “I think it’s the biggest service change since we introduced drive-thru. I’m so excited about this, it’s tough to put it in words.

All they need to do now is team up with Uber or Lyft and bring me a donut and coffee for the morning ride.
Are people eating donuts so often they need to order them 24 hours in advance on a regular basis? I’m a fairly big guy but this makes me feel a whole lot better about myself.
This is definitely necessary because we all know it takes wayyy too long to fill a cup of coffee and grab a donut right after its ordered.
Having a dunkies on every corner is probably the only thing I miss about living in New England.
Dunkin’ Donuts has destroyed local donut places where I live.

Well a different option between stores would be nice but that’s not possible when every store is a Dunks.
