Instructions on how to have these kinds of interactions: Try being a conservative or egalitarian in a room full of feminists. Listen to them talk freely about issues once viewed as taboo for social settings but are now commonplace (feminism, politics, abortion, you get the idea). Attempt to present another viewpoint because according to them, all women’s voices matter. Immediately regret opening your mouth because you are now being told you’re the problem with society.
ex. Just the other day I had a conversation with my friend who said she didn’t want her father to “give her away” at her wedding in a few months because she’s not a “piece of meat” or the property of any man. I countered my asking how it’s possible that she can hold that belief if she told her fiance that he had to get her parent’s permission to marry her. She told me I just don’t understand feminism and that I need to get in touch with reality.
Motion for this to be republished as an open letter to Grandex and the entire PGP community. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve cringed when I read something published by Veronica Ruckh or Rachel Varina that objectified men and degraded them to nothing more than sex objects all the while posting articles damning men for the alleged rape culture and institutional sexism they believe is pervasive in society.
We’re young adults who haven’t quite given up our terrible senses of humor yet and we all like to make off color jokes. why can’t we all just accept that and stop being offended all the time.
Side note (this is addressed to Will who has no chill), ‘sup’ is not aggressive and if you think it is you should probably not be posting on this website. Anything actually uncalled for on either side should be banned.
I’m on my boyfriend’s account and I’m commenting here for visibility. Sue me. Does IWD include everyone who identifies as a woman or just those who biologically are women? What if I’m a biological woman and I don’t support the notion that abortion is a “women’s health” issue? What if I don’t support this new wave of feminism that demonizes men now for the sins of men in the past? What if I don’t support the so called sexual liberation and bitch mentality espoused by Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, and a few writers on this site? What if I don’t believe in the wage gap because empirical data disproves it? What if I think men on college campuses are systematically targeted by Title IX?
Do any of these make me less of a woman? Maybe instead of patting ourselves on the back for being smug about our ideals, we should consider letting other viewpoints be heard.
This list is moronic. If you live in Memphis or Detroit you’re still stuck in a miserable wasteland where housing isn’t cheap unless you want a broken shack with bullet holes.
When you tell strangers where you’re from, the words “Memphis” and “Detroit” will make you look about as cool as the one guy with the android phone in a group text.
I didn’t need to read any farther than the word Nashville to know he was going to have a horrible time no matter what. Nashville is the setting for what could be Things Girls Do After Graduation – Southern Edition.

No Nashville is fucking terrible. That city is an overpriced, filthy cesspool of girls worse than Girl from TGDAG.

Commented here for the visibility. Sue me.

Note: I left Memphis for a reason.

Someone showed this to me the day we graduated from college and now I can’t go grocery shopping without feeling like an asshole. Enjoy!
More importantly WHERE IS TGDAG?!?!?! DEFRIES GET ON YOUR SHIT
I live in Memphis. It’s an insufferable abyss filled with pretentious yuppies.
Sallie Mae bro

Put something interesting in your profile for them to have a reason to say something other than “Hi.” Life is a two way street, son.
Now that you mention it, a doublewide doesn’t sound half bad…
Why are half of them dressed like hobos
Because there are laws against that. didn’t you read the HR packet when you started working?
Knoxville and that God awful university are both complete shit holes
I’d bet my almost non-existent 401k that you’ve never been to most of these places
fuck off communist
tl:dr fuck science that dress is gold and white
