Having to wear a uniform to work really curtails any other nice looking clothes I might acquire, so I feel ya. I mean my uniform is a suit, but it’s still a uniform.
Making dinner with whatever is at my parents house. Looking like marinated herb garlic chicken and some pasta. Maybe with a glass or two of white wine.
I had a pre-prepared pulled pork thing for sandwiches and fries made from fresh potatoes. Much heavier than what I wanted… tomorrow a salad might be in order.
I’m both working and totally broke tonight, so whatever food I can scrounge off the plane. And the second I’m off duty, any alcohol I can get the good men of Jacksonville to buy me.
My NYC girls are usually in the crowd of leather jackets and big scarves because at least leather jackets block the wind, but are cute enough to keep on. In the Chicago area I tend to be more of a dive bar girl though so we usually just bring our winter coats and leave em on our stools.
It’s a pretty old school thing to do, but it was a common thing at some point to invite the parents of the wedding party. My friend getting married in June whose wedding I’m standing up in has told all of us that our parents will be invited.
Cheers to all of this my man. 2016 was a huge year of transitions for me and I never thought I’d make the move from Chicago to NYC, but taking the first job offered to me after graduation made me do that, and has also given me endless travel opportunity- I went to Spain for a weekend last month and I’ll be in Brazil in April with my new roommates! Carpe diem, everyone, and just like, ride that wave of life.
I have been low key trying to convince my friends of this for years so I’m glad to hear this perspective. I grew up hanging around the bowling alley while my friends didn’t though, so convincing them it’s a good time has been tough.
There’s a learning curve. Year 1 my ex got a sweatshirt, year 2, a nice winter coat (he desperately needed one). By year 3, he got an Xbox for Christmas (I got Uggs in return. No complaints there).
Went with pan fried chicken legs and rice and beans. Simple, cheap, covers several food groups.

#teamdunks 4ever. Their cappuccinos and iced coffees give me life (plus it’s across the street from my apartment).

Team leggings as pants. If that’s so wrong, I don’t want to be right.
Ladies, our options are dwindling.

Breakfast leftovers which consist of some mushroom-egg thing on a croissant and potatoes o’brien. Maybe some wine if there’s any left from New Years.
Oh the things I would currently do for a Caseys taco pizza
I’m finally back in Chicago for a weekend, so… applebees with the girls. Gotta get some apps and watch the ‘Hawks
My brother and I made breakfast, so my dad’s in charge of dinner. Chicken tacos are up for tonight.
This low key made me so happy I haven’t had to be a maid of honor yet.

Airline employee here. No short week. Working on Christmas Eve. Kill me now.

Am a New Yorker currently walking to the grocery store in yoga pants and uggs. This lady can go fuck herself. Let me be comfy.
