Not sure why you’re getting hate. I’m sorry but if I’m in and out in 15 minutes because I got something quick, chances are you didn’t do much. On top of that the difference between the % you think you deserve and what I left is maybe a dollar. And just to piggy back off your response earlier about it not being your responsibility to make up the difference in their salary… completely agree. When I would hear my friends that were servers say they made $300 a night, good for you, but don’t bitch when you also make half that in a night. I guess you can make a living out of serving (mainly if you’re at high end establishments where each table nets you $100+) but your run of the mill waiting job isn’t sustainable to live off of forever.
Depending on your age and marital status, you should be able to cover a $250k house (down payment aside). If you don’t have the 20%, pay PMI and dump as much into your mortgage as you can so you get over the threshold ASAP. I know the $50k figure is an exaggeration, but I know I’m making much more than my parents / older coworkers were at my age.
Agreed. See things weren’t going where I thought and while enjoy the person, you know when you know. Sack up and rip the bandaid off and save the other person more hurt feelings from a longer relationship.
This is invaluable insight, Taylor. Considering a move in a year away from the majority of my college friends for my career is terrifying. I’ll have some acquaintances in the new (potential) city, but always worry I won’t find a group to at least hang out with on the weekends and will turn into a depressed hermit.
The box wine at TJs is a godsend. It’s 4 bottles for $12.99 and you just can’t beat that. Only issue is not knowing how much you’ve had, so maybe you drank a bottle, maybe it was closer to 2.
Unpopular opinion: it isn’t your responsibility to adopt a dog simply because there are dogs to adopt. If you know exactly what you want, plan to train specifically, do your thing. I know exactly what type of dog I want, I want it from a puppy and the chances of finding that via adopting is slim. If people give you a hard time, tell them to get off their high horse and keep adopting dogs.

I’m more confused than I was before reading that. I think the gist was Madonnas also want to be called sluts in the bedroom?

Wishing you had kept your old corner?

On an unrelated note, is Employed and Depressed alive?
This is where the culprits need to reveal themselves.
What was worse, Johnny: this or the teenagers laughing at you? Also, did you try slipping them a Jackson? Might’ve worked a little better.
Only way I’m getting to the top is by sleeping my way there, Josh. Just call me Schmidt.
Do not quit without at least some job prospects lined up.
Wait you have a girlfriend? Since when?!?
Cincinnati smells like a burning dumpster in the summer, ac all the way.
It usually ends terrible. They’re called classics for a reason and 100% always drink wine with dinner.
But you can follow him on insta and know what to buy the Mrs for Christmas.
You also live in section 8 housing, so it’s fitting.

Petty 19th is the best.
