Your figures are correct but I think what you fail to take into account is the patriotic ferver that swept the nation after 9/11 and then the political turmoil of Iraq. Our generation has been very much defined on an individual level over the past 12 years by the war. I personally have not meet anyone who does not have a strong feeling one way or another about the war in Iraq. Just because we haven’t had to worry about whether or not we’ll be drafter does not mean that our political opinions and ideology haven’t been defined by war.
