i was under the impression skinny ties, (fitted, not skinny) slacks & not sure who’s doing mini collars.. gitman vintage, the only shirting worth buying has standard, your-tie-won’t-creep-out-the-back-collars) made a comeback because men haven’t known how to dress properly since the last time these were staple in the 60s. don’t think anyone has ever looked back at steve mcqueen and thought he looked ridiculous. (i own a classic Americana-inspired menswear shop, so i think i know a thing or two) hope the “trend” or “awakening” of men desiring to actually put some thought & pride into their garb is here to stay. btw, completely agree with this post, i fully intend to get my man a stunner of a watch when i can afford it, just might not be the day he pops the question. what girl doesnt want to blow their man’s mind on his 40th bday with that patek (or vintage rolex gmt, omega speedmaster, –tudor black bay is a nice option– or iwc)?
