It’s called The Hunt btw, because it began in 1870 as a way to entertain hunters at the end of the then annual Essex Fox Hunt. Also began in Montclair. Obviously our area built up, not many fox around anymore, the actual hunting part ended and the horse race moved west.
It’s as awesome as it looks but a bit less classt. Really has the shit show vibe turned up to about 11 by the end of the day. Can’t wait until next year. Will you should come up, seems like you’d be in your element.
Have been many times, one of my best friends is from Far Hills, and I live maybe 40 mins away. I’ve never heard anyone call it anything other than The Hunt. This is going back to when I was first introduced to this glorious event back in 2005.
Am I correct to assume that Phillies fans are all bandwagon Dodgers fans this October, especially after the Utley take out? PS, heard Chase Utley plans to spend his winter in Syria training with ISIS.
Been a Mets fan since 97 when I became old enough to start to have my own opinions on sports (father is a Red Sox fan from Mass). I’ve always been the outcast when it comes to baseball. Now, all of the sudden, all my fellow Mets fans are out of the woodwork. I can’t even remember it being like this in 2006.
Chafee used to be a Republican, not Webb. He was a Republican Senator from RI actually, before he was their Independent Governor, and now Democratic POTUS candidate probably just there to sell a book or something.
Webb used to work in the Reagan Admin as Sec of the Navy. He should be an Independent though because he’s way too good and reasonable of a person for either major party. I’d probably vote for him over any Republican running, besides Rand Paul. But unfortunately our party system sucks, and neither of those men have a chance.
I won’t be watching, I’ll we watching baseball, and finishing my beer regardless if the Mets win or lose. Though it’ll be a nicer beer if they win.
Take you out to a nice restaurant, have a meal, we have a nice conversation and get to know each other, I order a dessert and let you eat it so you don’t feel self conscious, then I take you home and we don’t rush it, and chill
