I don’t get why people are upset we’ve as a society started to use “Happy Holidays” or “Holiday Break” instead of the Christian-centric terms. Other people have holidays too, including atheists like me who partake in non-secular traditions like Festivus, and it makes no sense that folks get so sensitive about people trying to be more inclusive.
When I say “Happy Holidays!” at the office, I don’t mean screw your lord and savior, I’m just trying to share the same spirit of kindness and generosity to everybody whether they’re Christian, Jewish, atheist, or Hindu. But not Mormons, those no-Dr. Pepper-drinking gold-plate-translating bastards.
I understand the need for advertising, Grandex, but is a minute long video ad with audio you can’t mute really justifiable for a news piece about a gas station bathroom?
Not that this isn’t accurate, but isn’t aren’t all the “white girl” posts quasi-racist? Hispanic, black, asian, and all combinations of 20-something working girls dress like this. If you mean ex-sorostitute, say ex-sorostitute. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not offended (to paraphrase Louis C.K. it’s pretty hard to offend a white male), but it’s not just white folks that do all these stereotypical “white girl” things.
Definitely. From high-frequency trading firms (which is actually kind of a sketch but lucrative practice) to your standard financial services solution providers like Intuit, there are tons of software companies that need people with backgrounds in finance.
And I’ve realized you were replying to the previous person. Still kinda pissed by the assertion that CS majors aren’t capable folks, but nonetheless I redact my statement.
Yo Happy, if you parse my sentence one more time, I’m sure you’ll realize that what I said was that some of those Engineering majors end up working software jobs because they’re qualified for both a lot of the time. I did not say that a lot Computer Science majors end up working CE or EE (though they might dual-major and do that), since the curriculum doesn’t generally require all the same studies.
That said, learn to take a compliment next time, yah fuck.
Also, a lot of those Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Math majors are working as software developers, as their majors envelop a lot of Computer Science principles and they tend to be pretty smart folks so they can work in the field without a C.S. degree.

In summary, put the Sex back in Sexmas, folks!

I can continue to act like a dipshit for another ten years if I do this for my parents, right?
Sounds like you have friendzoned the shit out of this guy.
I’m pissed off about this as well, but the movie not being shown has nothing to do with the U.S. government. It’s corporate bullshit.
Minus all the cool stuff, like blowing shit up before infantry hits the ground.
So much potential ruined by yet another damn list.
Fuckin’ A, though I was more partial to Twisted Metal 2.

I got turned down for programming job with a HFS firm when I was on the job hunt last fall. Lost some confidence but maybe saved my soul?

*week
Borrow a ladder.
Agreed.

English, motherfucker; do you speak it?
Thanks, finally my friends can stop acting weird when I ask if their moms want to join us for happy hour.
Basic bitch: because it’s not acceptable to call women sorostitutes after college (nor ever, in some circles).
