I have family in the Navy right now that will be deployed again soon, so Memorial Day has been a bit more sobering for me these past few years. Thanks for your service, Kiawah.
This is why I’ve pretty much had Nutrigrain or energy bars in the morning for breakfast for years. No time to spend on cooking, tastes ok, and decently cheap at the grocery store.
I agree about getting out of the house. I’ve worked from home a decent amount, and if I do it too many days in a row without taking time to leave, it’s easy to get cabin fever.
I joined Instagram not too long ago, and it’s kind of funny that a bunch of people from high school are starting to add me when I haven’t talked to them in years. I’m not going to lie, even if it’s a passive way to check on my life and theirs, it still feels good to realize you’re thought of.
Number 1 is an all time GOAT, but definitely surprised to not see any of the songs from Beauty & Beast or Hercules, of the darkly powerful Hellfire from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Definitely not an envious task to only choose 5!
Not going to lie, the 3 months I studied for the bar exam were awful, and I’ve never felt more stressed out and anxious than the day results were posted. However, if you study hard and take it seriously, you should generally pass. The only people I know who didn’t pass either didn’t study enough or had a major disaster in their lives. You may not be able to go to the beach or drink as much (if at all), but I can guarantee finding out you passed will be one of the best days of your lives. Good luck!
Good luck with the internship! After working in the service industry during college, no job since then has been anywhere near as difficult as that one.
The expectations, price and general inability to talk to my friends at a bar on NYE is the worst. House parties and, surprisingly, concerts I’ve found to be way better.
My dad turned 60 not too long ago, so I’ve been thinking about this more frequently. It wasn’t the article I was expecting today, but it was definitely needed. Thanks for writing such a moving piece.
The only person worse to be added by on Snapchat than your parents.

When audible sighs start to become more frequent. PGP.
That’s why I like the phrase drunk words, sober thoughts. Definitely good to keep in mind.
Of all the fake professions I’ve ever heard on this show, Tickle Monster is by far the creepiest.
He probably spends more than $19 per day for all the gel he puts in his hair too.

Finding out about Greg was just as heartbreaking as when I watched the Red Wedding the first time.
Working in an office where you’re one of the only millennials. PGP.
Non-default fonts are the worst, especially when the sender gets creative with text size.
Not going to lie, Emo Prom sounds amazing.
Giving my very first solo presentation today! Can’t wait to educate my colleagues.

Girl and her friends’ smug could power the Prius for years.
